Trinity Valley Community College
Trinity Valley Community College (formerly Henderson County College) is located
in Athens, Texas: 25 miles south of Canton, Texas from I-20 and 38 miles west
of Tyler, Texas on Highway 31. Nestled in the piney woods of east Texas, TVCC
is a two-year college emphasizing basic coursework in the liberal arts.
The city of Athens is a culturally diverse community which supports the arts
through music, theatre, art and dance. The town is spattered with eclectic gift
shops, restaurants, and musuems.
TVCC Dorms
While on campus, campers will be staying in student dormitories
on campus. All rooms are double-occupancy with air-conditioning. Laundry facilities
are available on campus.
Theatre Arts Building
Trinity Valley Community College utilizes a 400 seat proscenium stage for all mainstage productions. The building was renovated in 1997. The Theatre also houses offices and classrooms as well as dressing rooms for both men and women. The theatre also has state of the art sound and lighting equipment which the college has recently upgraded.
