Travis Poe Travis Poe is Director of Theatre at Barbers Hill HS in Mont Belvieu. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from The University of Texas and his Master's of Science in Theatre from Lamar University. Travis has 18 years of experience as a high school theatre director. He and his students have competed in 17 regional and 11 state one-act play finals. They were named Conference AAA State Champions in '96, '99 and '03 and were 1st runner-up in '00 and '02. He was second runner up this year with his production of Peer Gynt. Travis serves as chair of the UIL Advisory Committee for the Texas Educational Theatre Association and chair of the Electives Department at Barbers Hill. In 2002, he was a recipient of the Southwestern Bell UIL Sponsor Excellence Award and was nominated for The University of Texas Excellence Award for Outstanding HS Teachers in 2000.
