James Henderson (Movement and Costume Designer) Received his BFA from The University of Texas at Austin, where he studied with such theatre icons as F. Loren Winship, Francis Hodge and Paul Reinhart. He received his MA from Baylor University, having studied with Pat and Bill Cook. Additionally, his MFA is from The Paris-American Academy, where his Doctorate is to be completed this year. He originated the theatre department at McLennan Community College and has taught on the university level for over twenty five years. He studied mime in Paris with Etienne Decroux and Marcel Marceau; art and costume history and design at The Louvre; dance with Rene Bon, and apprenticed at the Comedie Franciase. His Fine Arts Administration certification is through The Paris Opera and London’s National Theatre. His professional credits include The Alley Theatre in Houston and the 450 Geary Theatre in San Francisco. Mr. Henderson has judged the UIL OAP State Meet twelve times. This is his 4th year to be associated with summer drama workshop.
